Executive Members

It is my pleasure to announce the establishment of the Japan–US HR Professional Association, Inc., created to support Japanese human-resources and recruiting companies operating in North America. I am honored to serve as its inaugural President.
Today, more than 100 Japanese recruitment agencies operate across the United States and Canada, employing over 300 professionals. The industry continues to grow as new entrants from Japan expand into the North American market, increasing both opportunity and competition. With this growth comes a heightened need for unified ethical standards, consistent hiring practices, and stronger safeguards for handling personal information.
Our Association was founded to meet these needs. We aim to:
・Strengthen industry trust through clear guidelines on legal compliance, data protection, and professional ethics

• Support member companies as they adapt to rapid changes in HR technology, including generative AI

• Promote fair and efficient job-matching, helping companies connect with the right talent

• Enhance the “Joy of Work” by fostering environments where individuals can develop professionally and achieve meaningful career growth

 

Moving forward, we will raise the value and credibility of the entire Japanese-affiliated HR industry in North America. Through collaboration, shared learning, study groups, seminars, and public-relations initiatives, we will work together to meet modern HR challenges and seize new opportunities.
